Thomas J. Bienias
President and CEO
Tom oversees all of Ethox International’s operations. A 32-year veteran of the healthcare industry, Tom has published numerous articles, and been a frequent speaker on contract manufacturing in the USA, Asia, and Europe. He also co-founded a Medical Device Manufacturing Company, recognized for its contributions in science and economic development in the region. Tom is a past President of Healthcare Industries Trade Association and serves on numerous company boards of directors.
Joe Gugino
Executive Vice-President, Operations
With 26 years of experience in manufacturing operations and 18 years in the medical, pharmaceutical fields, Joe oversees all Ethox International Manufacturing Operations. Joe holds a BS in Business/Operations Management and an MBA in Finance & Accounting. A part of the Ethox team for 6 years, Joe is an active member of The Association for Operations Management (APICS).
Anne Rowlands, Ph.D.
Vice-President and General Manager
STS Life Sciences Division
Anne oversees all aspects of the STS Life Sciences Division and MMC Sterilization Services Group. Anne brings a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and over 20 years experience in biotechnology and manufacturing. She has led research, product development and commercialization, engineering, manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, and business group operations. She has multiple publications and patents and is actively involved in biotech venture capital.
John B. Riggi
Vice-President, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs
John brings many years of experience in the industry to his role as the person in charge of one of Ethox International’s most important commitments -- quality. John holds bachelor’s degrees in both Biology and Chemistry, as well as an MBA in Operations Management/Finance. He is also a member of the American Society for Quality ASQ Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).
Richard J. Malo
Vice-President, Contract Sales
With over 30 years of experience in the medical field and 25 years in contract medical sales, Dick is the leader of our Contract Sales team. Outside of his many contributions to Ethox, he serves as treasurer of the Buffalo Kanazawa Sister City Committee, the oldest sister city relationship in the United States. Dick is also treasurer of the Buffalo Sunrise Rotary Association.
Matthew L. Alesse
Vice-President, Research and Development
Matthew’s area of responsibility includes overseeing the design, development and support of Ethox branded products. His breadth of experience includes 25 years in medical device and control systems.
John DeLuca
Vice-President, Proprietary Products Sales
Hospital Products Division
Having over 25 years of experience in both the Medical Devices and Medical Research Instrumentation markets, John leads the global sales and marketing efforts for the Ethox International branded products sourced from both Buffalo, NY and Ethox’s manufacturing facility in China.
John E. Creighton
Vice-President, Sales & Marketing
STS Life Sciences Division
Drawing on 20 years of sales and sales management experience, John leads the sales and marketing activities for our STS Life Sciences Division and MMC Sterilization Services Group.
Brian Berkman
Chief Financial Officer
Brian comes to Ethox with over 30 years of financial management experience in a variety of multinational manufacturing/engineering businesses. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His areas of responsibility include the accounting and treasury functions of the company.
Matilda Lorenzo, SPHR
Director, Human Resources and Organizational Development
With 20 years of experience, Matilda oversees all facets of Human Resources and Organizational Development for Ethox International. Certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), she is active with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and served as a past President of the Niagara Frontier Chapter and member of the NYS Council. Millie volunteers with the Buffalo Niagara Human Resources Association (BNHRA), Workforce Development Council and is an original advisory board member of the BNE Web Initiative.
Donna Ventura

Donna brings 25 years of experience in biocompatibility to Ethox International. A member of our team for 23 years, she oversees Ethox’s Life Sciences Division laboratory operations. She is a member of both the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science and the High Tech Business Council of Rochester. |
